CubeCat -2 nano-satellite, carrying as main payload the GNSS Reflectometry (GNSS-R) instrument PYCARO, is now in operations. The batteries, temperatures and rotation speed are all nominal, with the detumbling alredy finished. The team is already telecommanding the cubesat and the operations are proceeding as planned.
PYCARO was one of the E-GEM instruments and will enable various scientific studies regarding the use of navigation signals (GPS, Galileo, ...) in the field of Earth observation.
The unit was built by the Remote Sensing Group of the Department of Signal Theory and Communications and NanoSat Lab of the UPC.
